Federal Data Protection Commissioner Adrian Lobsiger raises legal questions.

In his activity report published on Tuesday, Federal Commissioner for Data Protection Adrian Lobsiger (63) asks what the Bundesrat derives from the right to repeal the law on public information with an emergency decree. It cannot be deduced from the available information that the right to have the work of the administration carried out must be waived.

Access to documents could only have been restricted until parliament had passed a decision on the legislation, the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Information (EDÖB) writes. The power industry bailout and CS bailout could involve the use of taxpayers’ money “in the order of billions”. (SDA)
