The bosses of state-related companies earned more than half a million Swiss francs last year. Blick picks the most interesting managerial wages from the Federal Council’s management wage report.

The best 3

Post-finance boss Hansruedi Köng (57) is again at the top of the list of top earners in state-owned companies. Last year he received CHF 826,651 – excluding contributions to his pension fund. That is about 5,500 francs less than in 2021. Köng again earned more than CEO Roberto Cirillo (51).

However, Cirillo is the second highest earner in the state. He received a salary of 822,246 francs. That is almost 1000 francs more than in 2021.

SBB boss Vincent Ducrot (60) followed in third place with CHF 761,982. That is almost 4,000 francs more than last year.

Public Presidents Service

Monika Ribar (63), chairman of the board of directors of SBB, received exactly 280,352 francs for her 60 percent work. Added to 100 percent, that would be more than 467,000 francs. Last year, Ribar received 274,352 francs.

Postal president Christian Levrat (52), on the other hand, has to settle for 231,292 francs. However, it only does a 50 percent workload. Converted to a full-time job, he would amount to more than 462,000 francs.

lower earners

André Wall (59), CEO of arms manufacturer Ruag International, suffered the largest wage loss. He earned CHF 759,115 last year, almost CHF 35,000 less than in 2021.

After all, he is doing better than his colleague Brigitte Beck, who runs Ruag MRO, the service provider for the Swiss army. She received 489,477 francs. Your predecessor still collected 609,905 francs. The major changes are probably related to the restructuring of the weapons group.

media manager

Gilles Marchand (61), director of SRG, earned CHF 514,184 last year. He also had to make do with less: in 2021 he received a salary of 534,014 francs. His boss, SRG chairman Jean Michel Cina (59), is different. The former Valais Council of State earned 153,300 francs – the same as last year.

bank supervisor

Otherwise more under “also ran” but interesting in the year of the CS debacle is the main wages of the banking regulator Finma. Director Urban Angehrn (58) received a total salary of CHF 599,970 in 2022. About 25,000 francs more than his predecessor Marc Branson (54) received in 2020, who left Finma in May 2021.

Finma president Marlene Amstad (54), on the other hand, had to accept a loss: instead of 481,676 francs as in 2021, she received “only” 337,702 francs in wages in 2022. For the same workload, mind you.
