“Under the Sky”, by Chilean Diego Acosta, won the Play-Doc 2023 award.

In the section dedicated to Galician cinema, “Devociones” by Ángel Montero and Maria Serna were awarded

The official list of Play-Doc awards is completed with an award from the Galician competition section. The jury is made up of French artists and filmmakers Josephine Derobefilm critic and developer Filmoteca de Galicia, Jaime Pena and by the manufacturer Andrea Queralt, decided to reward devotions, from Angel Montero and Maria Serna “To explore the limits of the sensory on both a plastic and sonic level and to present healing rituals in a corporeal and subtle way.”

In the Galician competition, the jury also wanted to give special praise to the film balance sheets, from Raul Capdevila “For an honest and sincere portrait of the family and the intergenerational reality of the Aragonese rural world”.
