Castelao, at the age of 8, the day before leaving for Argentina, disappears in his village of Rianxo. Her nai doesn’t know where to look for him. That is the starting point to do a new theatrical performance promoted by Culturactiva to bring this measure of Galicia to childhood. This is, secondly, the first work on the author of Rianx aimed at rapazada. The premiere will take place this Sunday in Teo (Constant Liste Auditorium, 12:00 p.m.) and will serve as the opening of the language revitalization program FalaRedes 2023.

Castelao It is intended for the audience from six to ten years old and introduces the author Always in Galicia funny, happy, cheerful and adventurer. «It is a fun work that Castelao spends in Rianx before leaving for Argentina. It doesn’t stop being a child, so we want to give it a childish touch to empathize with parenthood. The challenge is not only the interpretation of the greats of our culture, but also the seriousness that he conveys”, he assured. Cristina Collazowho plays a peza together with another actress Monica Camano. In this spectacle, the “imaginary of Castelao, those colors, as legends and the conscience of our language” is born. An area not covered by Mónica Camaño either, emphasizing that the theater piece “promotes the memory of the country we cherish”. Recognizable elements of Castelao’s work are introduced in fictional dialogues.

Or a family show, what characteristics text by Paulo Carballeiro and direction by Fin Callej, after the summer in Teo, will also visit O Barco de Valdeorras this month (31st). In April they will visit Viveiro (14th day), Boiro (15th day), Vilalba (16th day), Vilagarcía de Arousa (22nd day), O Porriño (28th day), Monforte de Lemos (29th day) and Porto do Sin (day 30) is not the frame of FalaRedes da Xunta with free entrance. In this sense, the General Secretary for Language Policy, Valentín García, pointed out that he deliberately “somewhat demystifies the character of Castelao” and deceived that part of the child’s perspective in order to “delight the children’s audience, also deceiving them or Galician with positive experiences in their free time and which you make you think, besides having a part of the game»
