Unfortunately, this is so. Many women passionately talk bad about their partners and have a great time: boyfriends are emotionally crippled, they are said to have communication problems, they dress horribly, and their childish interests cannot be taken seriously. In a word: disappointment!
The surprising thing about this is that the men in question are not abandoned, even if they seem to give the occasion to do so all the time. But either their partners are convinced that there is no point in breaking up, that every guy is a loser anyway, or their self-esteem is so low that they think they deserve only an unhappy relationship. Or they think it’s emancipated in some strange way to humiliate men. Probably a combination of everything.
But the real question is why would you want to stay with a woman who constantly taunts you—in front of and with her friends—and who shows as little respect for her expressions of displeasure as she does for you personally. Do you secretly think that this is normal and deserves to be treated badly? Would you rather have a disrespectful partner than none at all?
“It’s just a joke” and “You’re too sensitive” are classic excuses used by people who verbally abuse others and feel they have a natural right to do so. And you should definitely stay away from such people if you want to live in peace. However, your wife deserves to face her disgusting behavior once more in order to be able to see, understand and overcome it. But if she continues to think that there is nothing wrong with that, you should face the unchanging facts and pack up your tent.
