Follow Christ’s passion

Jesus, they continue to scourge you and you remain hanging on the cross. The pain in your body and in your soul continues. And wars continue to affect humanity. Two world wars with millions of dead were not enough, more Iraq, Afghanistan and civil wars in the 20th century. Already in this century, Russia and Ukraine, Israel and Hamas are maintaining your calvary. We continue to kill each other and produce ever more sophisticated and deadly weapons.

Billions of dollars have been invested in weapons to end more lives. And children, poor innocent creatures massacred by bombings, attacks on cities and towns by soldiers of any ideology and religion, no matter what, but they all equally represent Herod, a terrible incarnation of evil that is saturated with tender blood, little people who will not become adults, of children who could have been good men and women, but simply weren’t. Their little bodies, like in Bethlehem, lie among the ruins of the buildings, dismembered. Their disfigured faces and parents who cry when they see their corpses.

Jesus, the nails on your hands and feet continue to tear, opening your wounds further, spreading tetanus through the muscles of your body. It is hunger that plagues the world, where many millions do not get the nutrients they need to live every day. That is why entire populations are making poor progress, because the brains of their inhabitants do not meet the appropriate conditions to learn, be creative and enterprising. It’s not about racism, it’s about social injustice, bad distribution of goods. And how easy it is to say because they have such skin color and that is why they are not progressing.

Lie. This is how selfishness is hidden and concealed. Unjust structures that favor some and marginalize many are covered up.

Lord, a crown of thorns stuck in your temples iu head causing a continuous flow of blood which passed over your face and body. You died with that crown. The terrifying secularism that tries to say that “God is dead,” excluding Him from all areas of life, is the height of ignorance.

Therefore, even today, ask the Father to forgive us because we do not know what we are doing. Your passion continues in the world. You continue to offer your life for us. You are still nailed to the crosses, millions of them, men and women who are waiting for your redemption, which is already happening.
