Walter Wobmann, the SVP’s spokesman for Swiss neutrality, knows everything – including how the Kremlin thinks: “In the eyes of the Russians, we are no longer neutral.” Since the recent abolition of all democracy in Moscow through election fraud, we know:
“The eyes of Russians” are the eyes of Putin.
Swiss neutrality cannot counter this dictatorial opinion – and this must be urgently corrected, as Wobmann demands. His call to order was approved by the highest party authorities. Shortly after Moscow’s attack on Ukraine, Christoph Blocher noted that Switzerland “violated neutrality and is therefore a party to the war.” “Infallible” even showed neutrality in the twilight of an immoral act:
“Switzerland has violated neutrality.”
And all this in front of Putin!
We know how harsh and fatal the view of the Kremlin ruler is. It can mean death and destruction: bombs and missiles day and night, year and day. The only thing that helps against this is obedience, preferably in advance.
Putin is the standard of what is right.
The dictator as the godfather of the Swiss policy of neutrality, as the godfather of Swiss foreign policy. Can we understand Wobman differently? Can you understand your party differently?
To better understand the SVP, which preaches that federal foreign policy should be subject to Moscow’s standards, one should look at the SVP, which calls for resistance to the agreement with Brussels – in its words:
“Throw Switzerland into the EU.”
This is the slogan of the SVP election campaign against the agreement between Bern and Brussels, which could only end with a “colonial treaty”, i.e. completely silencing the Confederacy, which had been free for centuries.
The EU is the standard of wrongness.
On September 14, 1958, French Prime Minister Charles de Gaulle invited the first German Chancellor, Konrad Adenauer, to his private home in Colombey-les-Deux-Eglises. In two days they laid the foundation for a European spirit of peace: the general who led the French Free Forces during the world war became friends with the chancellor, who was not burdened by the Nazi regime, France’s historical hereditary enemy. and Germany brought peace to the free part of the continent which has reigned ever since, and with it the progress which has since characterized European development.
Is the EU the standard of evil? Enemy of Switzerland?
Communism strengthened and consolidated behind the Iron Curtain. From the East, nuclear weapons threatened the free world – especially the EU, the successful cooperation of confident democracies and functioning constitutional states provided by the Western NATO defense community – especially the USA.
Switzerland is in the middle, has a good economic position, is well protected militarily – an EU country without being one, a NATO country without being one.
But now arbitrariness and tyranny are again raging in Eastern Europe: Russia suppresses all political freedoms, kills unruly citizens – and has been at war for two years with Ukraine, a free country oriented to the West.
Russia? Putin!
Only he matters, only he is subject to a nation that has never been allowed to live everyday life in conditions of civil freedom, has never enjoyed Western legal culture – a nation that experiences oppression as the fate of its entire history.
Nevertheless, global criminal Putin has become a reference figure for the far right everywhere in Europe: a figure of salvation that people should worship – from France’s Marine Le Pen to Switzerland’s Putinist propaganda exponents.
The Russian President likes to pose topless, sometimes in a heroic pose on horseback. His role model in this self-portrait is the Italian dictator Mussolini (1883–1945), the founder of European fascism: he also liked to depict the macho dictator bare-chested, whether harvesting rice in the Po Valley or on a sleigh. in… Snow.
Not only the pictures are the same. The mentalities are similar. The methods are similar.
In Europe there is a drumbeat in support of a new fascism: against the European Union, for ethnically defined nationalism – just like a hundred years ago. What commitment lies behind the SVP’s phrase: “In the eyes of the Russians, we are no longer neutral”?
Putin as a measure of Swiss politics.
