Second suggestion: No more complaints

In our tireless effort to strengthen institutions and ensure a robust democracy, it is imperative to address the deficiencies that affect the credibility of our legislative, judicial and executive systems. In this sense, I propose a key amendment to the internal regulations National Assemblyspecifically with regard to the credential commission.

The fundamental purpose of this amendment is to prevent Credible commission continues to mock the submission of complaints by citizens against judges, presidents and vice-presidents. It is essential that any allegation is thoroughly investigated and that the process is impartial.

Citizens deserve transparency and accountability from those who occupy positions of high responsibility. We cannot allow cases of alleged corruption or abuse of power to be ignored or delayed without proper investigation.

By reforming the internal rulebook of Credible commission, we are taking a significant step towards greater justice and equality in our society. This measure seeks to strengthen the mechanisms of control and supervision over public officials, thereby promoting citizens’ trust in our democratic institutions.

It is time to put an end to impunity and ensure that those in positions are accountable before the law and before the public. With this change, we are sending a clear message: in Panama, justice and transparency are inalienable values.

I urge everyone to support this necessary reform and work together to build a country where justice and equality are a reality for all.
