Why was he born in Bethlehem, in a cave?

There is a prophecy in Scripture about the birth of the Messiah in that small town, and the deep reason why he was born so badly is broken down into these points: Jesus was born in a cave to identify with the majority of humanity who were born in often inhumane conditions, very poor and in danger of losing their lives at birth.

On average, in the world very few are born in the best chospital, hygienic and environmental conditionsand at that time it was much worse.

It is born like the poor children of the fields, mountains and villages of all times, or in the belt of misery of today’s big capitals. Without proper conditions for birth. And this is because the one who loves tries to identify himself with those he loves. God loves so much humanity, that Glor becomes flesh to be with us forever. And in our conditions.

And Jesus is born in a cave, because it is the poorest of the poor, a place of refuge for the wretched, lepers, immigrants without means, robbers and animals. We didn’t think much about the details of the cave. No one with any means would allow their child to be born in such conditions. God then wanted to experience the poorest conditions of humanity, to tell us that his love has no limits. When a person truly loves another person, they agree to live under the same conditions as the other person, because that shows how far their love goes.

God loves mankind so much and identifies himself with sgmarginalized, forgotten, despised, humiliated, exploited, and Joseph and Mary, with Jesus in their wombs, experience the rejection of the entire people who, out of pure selfishness, could not accept them into the house and sent them to the cave. With the cold of the night, in the most antigenic possible conditions, because animals defecated in the cave, and bacteria, no matter how much the cave was cleaned, remained impregnated on the stone walls.

This lack of compassion in all people time, with its many victims in historyGod took the child, also as a sacrifice, to tell us that he is with those who suffer the most because of human injustice.

Of course, Jesus could have been born in a palace, surrounded by a court at your service, but that would not really be Incarnate Love, the Holy Christ, the Savior, God with us. The Incarnation is a real event, where the Word became flesh and took over all the suffering human reality of all time.
