This probably seems like a complicated riddle to you, but in fact it’s quite simple: this man, apparently, simply did not feel enough feelings for you. His feelings went so far that he seriously tried it with you, but nothing more.

This has nothing to do with you and not with his will, which was clearly given, but with his feelings, and we have no control over them. We can really want to love someone and still not achieve it.

There’s a great movie called He Just Doesn’t Like You That Much, and that’s exactly what it’s about. It’s natural that you find it cold. It would be better if this person spoke out directly and told you that he does not love you, but this was probably not entirely clear to him. See above.

In such situations, we are completely focused on the hesitant other person and have little regard for our own truth. You say that you “really like this man” – this is also not love. One can assume that you both felt exactly the same: you were attracted to each other, you were comfortable with each other, but there was a real spark, so there was no doubt. Definitely not for him, but probably not for you either. You may have missed it.

Dont be upset. Nobody did anything wrong. Look forward to the impressions and a friendly ending (not a given) – and the next meeting. At the same time, ask yourself less about what the other person is feeling and why, and more about what exactly you feel and want. And don’t take it lightly if you “just don’t like him.”
