Government on the wire

Real Government is facing increasingly intense criticism for its handling of the mining contract. The ineffectiveness of the government has become obvious, and the dissatisfaction of the people is growing by leaps and bounds. Multiple factors have contributed to this situation, which does not seem to have an adequate solution.

One of the clearest signs of this inefficiency is the bad advice of the president, who proposed a referendum to decide on the mining contract, just to election court he stated that he considered it unlikely that he would pull it off. This lack of coordination within the government is a reflection of the inability to make clear and effective decisions.

The government went around looking for a solution, further confusing the situation. The general population opposes the law, which they see as a danger to the future of the country, but the suspension of the contract would entail expensive compensation processes. Indecisiveness and the lack of a clear strategy to resolve this dilemma only exacerbated public discontent.

Even more worrying is that they don’t seem to know which of the government bodies has the authority to solve the problem without breaking the contract. This lack of leadership and accountability only deepens the perception that the government does not take citizens’ concerns seriously.

Protests are a natural response of a population frustrated by bad government decisions. These protests not only caused disruptions in everyday life, but also had a negative impact on the country’s economy. Roadblocks and protests affected production and trade, causing significant economic losses.

ALSO FROM THE AUTHOR: Politicization of the Judiciary

In short, the current government is because of its inefficiency in a critical situation. The lack of leadership, confusion and lack of a clear strategy has led to a stalemate where they seem unwilling to take responsibility. The population suffers the consequences of these wrong decisions in the form of protests and a weakened economy. It is urgently necessary for the government to take concrete and effective measures to solve this crisis and restore the confidence of the population.
