Meyer advises, “Stop trying to change it.”

If you are bored, you will have to accept the consequences.

Your desire is legitimate: you would like to have a partner with whom you can do something. But your partner’s desire is just as justified: he prefers to sit quietly at home. There is no compromise here: either you cave in or your partner caves in.

The smart thing to do would be to end the relationship and give each other over to more suitable people. Instead, you do what most people do: remain, dissatisfied, look for the reason for this in the character of your partner and try to drive it out of him. You probably already came to the conclusion that everything would be fine if the guy finally got his ass off the chair.

Ironically, you can’t get up on your own either. You are also passive, just treating your relationship. Instead of going out into the world in search of happiness, you sit in your boredom and unhappiness day after day and complain.

By doing this, you make yourself a victim and simply abdicate responsibility for your well-being. Accept the fact that your partner is who he is. And I want to be like that. Also admit that he is not the right one for you and you are not the right one for him. Acceptance means: not wanting it differently, but approving it as it is. Say out loud: “It’s okay that he’s one and I’m completely different and we’re not compatible.” Stop trying to change it. This
obviously this is impossible.

Therefore, acceptance also means separation. And welcome everything that comes with it. Thank your partner for the time you spent together and move forward to a future where you meet a man who shares your passions. Stop torturing yourself and your current partner with your dissatisfaction. None of you deserve this.
