In the third quarter, the group sold approximately 587,800 cars, 0.9 percent less than in the same quarter last year. Sales in Europe fell by about 11 percent compared to the previous year. However, sales in China were 5.7 percent and 3.8 percent higher in the US. In September, BMW achieved sales growth of 6.6 percent, with approximately 210,500 deliveries to customers.
Nota said the group is pushing the transition to electromobility at full speed. At the end of September, BMW sold more than 128,000 all-electric vehicles this year, doubling its sales compared to the same period last year.
