Not the most expensive apartment advertised for rent. Yet another example of the insane rental prices in big Swiss cities like Zurich. The rental property, advertised on Immoscout24.ch as “a glamorous penthouse with indoor pool and large roof terrace”, costs CHF 25,965 per month. Sure, the location is perfect. District 2 is in the middle of Zurich. But that much gravel for a fifth-floor apartment?

The monthly additional costs alone amount to 2360 francs according to the advertisement. That’s about as much as a family pays for a 5.5-room apartment in a cooperative in Winterthur.

Heated indoor pool and private elevator

Those who don’t know the upper limit can expect highlights such as 4 separate bedrooms and a large open room, a heated indoor pool on the rooftop (6th floor), a 210 m² roof terrace on the 6th floor, and smaller balconies. 5th floor, underfloor heating and direct elevator to both floors.
