The smallest Meelectronics branch is now in front of MParc Dreispitz in Basel. Migros Basel is starting its pilot project with Switzerland’s first electronic goods vending machine. The idea arose during the first wave of Corona. “Specialty markets were closed, but customers continued to need products from the electronics sector, preferably as quickly and easily as possible,” explains Andreas von Arx, head of specialist markets at Migros Basel.

Other locations are already planned, as Migros reported. Migros Basel adapts its machine range to the needs of its customers in each location. The vending machines work like normal machines like the ones in Selecta. The desired products are selected on the screen and paid by card or Twint.
