Lufthansa now flies on a double bed

Those flying with Lufthansa can look forward to the new extras. Lufthansa presents new suites for First and Business. But there are also new seats for guests on a smaller budget. So far the update has been a long time. The reason: Boeing planes are always delayed. This also applies to models where new seats must be introduced first.

80 brand new Lufthansa aircraft are currently being equipped with the new offer. These include the Boeing 787-9, Airbus A350 and Boeing 777-9 models. But Lufthansa is also installing new extras on aircraft already in use, such as the Boeing 747-8.

First suite in business class

The new Suite Plus in First Class is its highlight: the two seats in the suite can be heated or cooled as desired and can even be converted into a double bed. traveler MoreoverA full entertainment system is also available in the cloakroom. The suite will be introduced on newly delivered Airbus A350s for long-haul flights from 2024.

There is also a suite for first-time business travelers. Difference from First Class: The walls are only at chest level, but should still offer more privacy. Travelers benefit from more storage, a personal minibar and a large monitor.

Good news for those who sleep

In addition to the suite, there are six different seating options in business class, either an extra-long bed or a baby seat. But all the seats would turn into a bed at least two meters long. Passengers can now lie on their side: thanks to a new function, the shoulder can slump into the seat. This improves sleeping comfort for side sleepers.

Premium Economy Class also offers a new level of comfort for those traveling on a smaller budget. The new seats offer more legroom and folding footrests. They can also be folded further back. But without the person sitting next to you noticing. In ordinary economy class, passengers can reserve first row seats with Lufthansa for more legroom or an empty side seat.
