As the final construction work of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos GR continues, a job offer is circulating on the internet for WEF week from January 16-20.
Swiss company BNL Clean Energy from Cham ZG is still looking for “professional, blonde stewardesses” this time around. And she continues: “Girls who can adequately represent our company.” Their height must be at least 1.70 meters.
The requirements profile also says: pleasant and friendly charisma is required, not afraid to approach people and work clothes from our own stock. The service is paid with 150 Euros per day, “accommodation, flight and food will be covered”.
“Incredible,” writes Zurich-based finance blogger “Russian Market” on Twitter.
Up to 26 years old
The sexist job posting was published on promotionbasis.de and jobwrk.com on Thursday. In fact, one of the two ads states that women should be between 18 and 26 years of age to play.
In general, the company is looking for “six girls”. As a spokesperson said at Blick, DEF distances itself from this free driver company and advertising. BNL Clear Energy is by no means an official participant.
Fee in euros
But the special thing is that the hostesses are paid in euros. That’s why the company plans to fly with extra stewardesses to meet their specific needs.
The advertisement does not specify exactly what activities are expected of the hostesses. It just says “normal hostess activities”.
Blick continued with BNL Energy Clear at Cham ZG. People there are surprised that they know nothing about such an advertisement. You do not know the Jobwrk portal. However, the company is working with Promotionbasis. “We have been successfully booking hostesses for our regular events for over 10 years,” says a spokesperson. He adds: “The majority of BNL Group employs women of all ages, sizes and hair colours.”
Your Assumption: It looks like a company has advertised a company in Germany. This is probably why the stewardesses were paid in euros.
Interesting: After Blick called Cham, the ad for WEF stewardesses disappeared from the network. Apparently at headquarters in the canton of Zug, they are looking for the person responsible for posting sexist job postings.
