The ten most wanted jobs in Switzerland

The shortage of skilled workers has worsened in many industries in recent months. It puts employees in a relaxed state, which is difficult for companies. If you have a good education, you can think of a change right now, even if you have minor difficulties at work. More than 260,000 jobs were vacant in Switzerland in November, and this trend is growing.

A study by consulting firm McKinsey shows that more than 34 percent of all employees in Switzerland are dissatisfied with their current job. Employers are therefore advised to take feedback from their workforce seriously.

In collaboration with the portal Jobs.ch, the “Handelszeitung” evaluated which jobs are most frequently sought after by change seekers and the possible earning potential in the occupations.

Here are the most wanted jobs in Switzerland

Most searches are for clerical and language translation jobs. From the employee’s perspective, jobs are diversified with activities in marketing, sales, but also accounting and human resources. However, almost all industries are looking for suitable specialists. The median earning potential is CHF 80,900 per year.

Working at the reception or in the secretariat is also very popular. A professional profile needed in almost every booth and every shop. On average, a receptionist earns CHF 76,600 per year.

In third place are sales made in the back office or back office business. It is a profession where versatile people are sought and at the same time has a good future prospect. In terms of income, employees can expect an average of CHF 83,100 per year.

Visitors to Jobs.ch are also often looking for jobs in manufacturing, accounting or public administration. All jobs with average salaries exceeding 100,000 francs. There is more than 124,000 francs in accounting.
