Christmas holiday in Paris in jeopardy due to strike

Last week, 10,000 train inspectors went on strike. Trains could not run without them, as they were responsible not only for checking tickets, but also for the safety of passengers. Around 60 percent of train connections had to be canceled at the time.

Only four out of ten trains worked for both TGV high-speed trains and regional trains.
