Implenia wins a contract worth over 100m euros in Germany

In addition to Implenia, the German companies Plauen Stahl Technologie and Zwickauer Sonderstahlbau are also involved in the consortium for the new construction of the Rader viaduct on the A7 in Schleswig-Holstein. Implenia has technical leadership and is the contact person for customer Deges (Deutsche Unit Fernstrassenplanungs und -bau GmbH), the Swiss construction group announced on Tuesday.

The total project volume is over 250 million Euros. Implenia has more than 100 million shares in this, while Plauen Stahl Technologie (commercial leadership) together with Zwickauer Sonderstahlbau amounts to around 150 million Euros.

The new motorway bridge is 1,500 meters long and 42 meters high and crosses the A7 motorway east of Rendsburg in Schleswig-Holstein over the Kiel Canal and Borgstedter Enge. Implenia wrote that the bridge will be built using composite steel construction and will play an important role in Danish traffic. The project, which will start in January 2023, is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
