Overall, the number of jobs advertised in the IT industry rose 7.5 percent in November, according to Wednesday’s Michael Page Jobs Index. The 10 most open positions between October and November were in the IT sector. The demand for IT supporters is particularly high.
“Many companies have set their IT budgets for 2023. “Now, as competition for skilled workers is high, they are trying to recruit skilled workers as quickly as possible,” explains Yannick Coulange, Managing Director of Page Group in Switzerland. Those who don’t offer a home office or other forms of hybrid work will have a hard time attracting staff.
Across all sectors, the number of jobs advertised increased by 1.4 percent from late October to late November. In terms of regions, the Zurich IT hotspot is ahead, thanks to strong growth of +4.0 percent in the industry as a whole. However, there was a decrease (-3.0%) in business in the Lake Geneva area.
