Employer President Valentin Vogt resigns

Valentin Vogt (62) was president of the Swiss Employers’ Association (SAV) for eleven years. Almost done! SAV wrote on Friday morning that Vogt had decided to resign at the end of June 2023. “After many years, it’s time to hand over the presidency. This is another step in my plan to withdraw from my offices and public duties in the next few years,” says Vogt. He wants to focus more on entrepreneurial activities and board mandates.

A successor is already ready. Severin Moser (60) will take over from Vogt. The SAV board committee recommends the economist as the new chairman at its annual meeting at the end of June.

A candidate with a professional background in the growing service industry is likely to become president for the first time in employer union history with Severin Moser. Moser has many years of experience as CEO and board member in the insurance industry and until the end of 2021 is CEO of Allianz Versicherungen Switzerland and board member of the Swiss Insurance Association.
