Hiestand croissants are making a crispy comeback

The Swiss’s favorite pastry finally gets a re-pronounceable name: Hiestand croissants. The large furnace Aryzta Switzerland is renamed Hiestand AG. The Swiss subsidiary of Aryzta Group has announced that the return to this company name, which was used until 2016, will strengthen the Hiestand brand.

As of January 1, 2023, the four legal entities of Aryzta Switzerland, Aryzta Food Solutions Switzerland AG, Aryzta Bakeries Switzerland AG, Aryzta Bakeries Dagmersellen AG and Aryzta Logistics Switzerland AG, will be merged to simplify the structure. From then on, Aryzta Switzerland will appear as a single Swiss company under the name Hiestand AG.

no layoffs

The name change is in line with the new Aryzta administration’s strategy to strengthen local markets. According to the Communiqué, the merger of the units and the name change will not have any impact on business activities, operations at locations and workforce.

Aryzta Group is the parent company of the Irish company IAWS with Hiestand Holding AG, which merged in 2008. (pbe/SDA)
