Whatsapp grappling with technical problems worldwide

The WhatsApp messaging service is struggling with issues around the world. Switzerland is also affected: the sending and receiving of messages is interrupted, as evidenced by the thousands of bug reports on the Allestoerungen.ch platform.

The outage occurred around 9:00 am – there has been a huge spike in the number of outage reports right now.

Cause still unknown

In addition, there are thousands and thousands of reports from abroad on the relevant fault portals, including Germany. But WhatsApp is also grappling with problems in Asia, for example in India.

Nothing is known about the reasons for the Whatsapp outage. Meta, the parent company of Whatsapp, told the online portal “Business Today” that they were aware of the outage. “We’re working to restore Whatsapp as soon as possible,” a meta spokesperson said.

As is always the case with Whatsapp malfunctions, countless users have spoken on the short message service Twitter.
