This is a previously unknown side of the powerful UBS boss: Sergio Ermotti (63) can also laugh at himself and show his humorous side on LinkedIn. He proves to be very familiar with Swiss customs.

The job portal says he grew up in Ticino, so carnival celebrations are no stranger to him. “It is wonderful to see friends and neighbors come together to celebrate their community, including local artisans showcasing their considerable talents,” Ermotti said.

As Ermotti’s post on LinkedIn shows, some of these craftsmen worked hard on the big hit in the financial center.

With humor and pathos

The Ticino native can be seen in the middle of the La Castello Bene carnival group, many wearing the legendary SKA hat. Behind him, Ermotti’s massive head stares sternly into the tank, carrying a fishing rod with baitfish in front of him.

Ermotti tackles the carnival theme with humor: “Almost any joke and satire is accepted and welcomed at this time of year (although I find it a little surreal looking at my own face on the winner’s float (smiley face))” And with many poignant phrases: “Switzerland I raise my glass to honor the great achievements of , UBS and, of course, the car manufacturer La Castello Bene, which won the competitions in Bellinzona and Chiasso last week. Buon Carnevale!”

Carnival scavenger Sergio Ermotti: In the parade you can see how the UBS boss, wearing bright yellow fishing trousers, straddles the great white shark, which catches a large piece of the CS case in its teeth. The “deal of the century” could not have been explained better than this. By the way: His followers on LinkedIn enjoy the self-irony; There are lots of likes for the UBS boss, as well as a few hearts.
