Swiss pilots not going on strike

For weeks the signs had been pointing to Zoff! The pilots union Aeropers threatened to go on strike during the autumn holidays of all days! Reason: The parties could not agree on a new collective bargaining agreement.

Over the weekend, Swiss boss Dieter Vranckx (49) and Aeropers President Clemens Kopetz (38) met for talks. Blick knows: The two sides have come to an agreement. There will be no strike!

Nothing is known about the content of the agreement reached.

The Swiss pilots’ strike, which was threatened by the end of October, caused confusion in many places. After all, pilots with many years of experience earn more than 200,000 francs a year.

For pilots, it wasn’t just about money. But about the ability to plan. The study plan is sent on the 25th of each month. There are no fixed Fridays. Not even for part-time workers.
