2.7 billion francs: Galaxus reaches record sales in 2023

There was strong growth in all categories in the German and European markets, with sales of 286 million euros. That’s a 55.4 percent increase from the previous year, the online retailer wrote. Mobile phones, consumer electronics and IT products were especially in demand in international trade.

It was stated that more than 4 million people in total will have shopped from Galaxus at least once in 2023. 1 million of these were in Germany, Austria and the rest of Europe.

The previous year, Galaxus reported 3.3 million customers. 700,000 of them are in Germany and Austria. The company started operations in Germany in 2018 and in Austria in 2021. The company also operates in France, Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands.

In Switzerland, electronics retailer Digitec and online department store Galaxus wrote that they increased their product range by more than 30 percent to 6.3 million products in 2023: “Everyday products were especially in demand in Switzerland. The biggest percentage growth was in supermarkets and beauty + health.” We saw in the sectors; sales exceeded last year’s sales by over 30 percent.
