The podium of the winner of the Leader of the Year election

There are two more Swiss names on the winner’s podium. Rolex CEO Jean-Frédéric Dufour (55) came in second. The lord of the crown has been successfully running the company for years, but nothing about it is leaked to the outside world. Successes are not celebrated and the CEO does not appear publicly. The recipe for the company’s success is its secrecy – Rolex is regularly represented among the best employers in Switzerland and Dufour currently sits on the Leader of the Year podium.

Carole Hubscher (56) ranks third. He is the president of stationery manufacturer Caran d’Ache. Their products can be found in every Swiss home; it can also be found among the drawing instruments of King Charles or the Princess of Thailand. The boss received a bronze medal for his commitment to the traditional company.

Other leaders in the top ten

Bundestag Member Karin Keller-Sutter (59) came in fourth. Readers also attest to his outstanding success in 2023 with his determination and solution to the bank merger.

The other top 10 of this year’s leaders include many well-known names. Viewer favorites like Peter Spuhler (64) and Swatch boss Nick Hayek (69) are represented. Also present this year will be Swiss boss Dieter Vranckx (50) and Stöckli CEO Marc Brille (55).

Tina Müller (55) also made it into the top ten. Douglas’s former boss moved to Switzerland this year and now heads natural cosmetics group Weleda. His job is to bring this fitness to the future; Time will tell whether he can do this or not.

Sulzer’s boss and Chairman of the Board, Suzanne Thoma (61), is also in the top 10. Last year it ranked third, this year it ranked tenth; She remains a welcome addition to the Leader of the Year rankings.
