As Artioli wrote at the request of the Keystone-SDA news agency, he wants to transform the once thriving mountain village into a tourist destination offering activities all year round: from mountain biking to skiing and healthy living.
At the heart of his vision is a luxury hotel with a public wellness area. For this purpose the community gave him a large piece of land. There are also several buildings in the village centre, including two hotels that Artioli is currently renovating and plans to open soon. He also wants the partially disused ski lifts to be revitalized.
The money for his plans – at least initially – comes from his own pocket. Other major projects are also financed from this “Family Office”. This also applies to the renovation of the Grand Hotel in Locarno. (SDA)
