René Benko’s 62 meter yacht “Roma” is for sale.

The 62-meter-long “Roma” has a seating capacity of 12 people in 6 cabins and offers everything a millionaire could want. Tyrolean real estate entrepreneur René Benko (46) bought the luxury yacht from Austrian investor Ronny Pecik (61) for approximately 60 million euros.

But now Benko is leaving the luxury yacht and asking for a very small amount of only 39.9 million euros. That’s 20 million less than he paid. The yacht is currently offered for sale on relevant industry websites.

Jet ski, swimming pool and cinema

“Roman” stabilizers ensure that guests do not get seasick even in strong waves, and there is also an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center, a cinema and a water slide – all air-conditioned, of course.

For the adventurous on board, there are also two 200-horsepower jet skis they can sit on, one jet ski they can stand on, four paddleboards, three Seabobs (diving aids), a fly board and a few other tools to relieve stress. A diving instructor must also be on board at all times.

Operating a yacht is expensive

However, if you can afford a yacht, you will also need a thick wallet. The yacht requires a crew of 12 people. It costs approximately 12,000 euros per day to operate the 62-meter ship. This does not include expensive parking spaces in marinas, which are calculated according to the size of the boats.

Benko wants to make money not only from his yacht but also from his private art collection. According to Spiegel, these include a Picasso worth 17 million euros, a Basquiat worth 11 million euros and several photographs of Andy Warhol worth 30 million euros. (what is that)
