Claims in GAV interview: Zoff in cabin unit

Sandrine Nikolic-Fuss, president of cabin crews union Kapers, has to defend herself against the allegations.

Sandrine Nikolic-Fuss, 54, head of the Kapers cabin crews union, is facing serious charges. That’s how “Tages-Anzeiger” reads. And at a stupid time. Since the end of June, the union has been negotiating a new collective bargaining agreement (GAV) with Swiss.

This is the second attempt: in December the union Nikolic-Fuss made an offer for a CBA and sold it as a huge success. “Some of the goals we’ve pursued for decades can be achieved with the new GAV,” he told Blick. However, the members rejected the offer. The union therefore stepped up its efforts and canceled the previous GAV – a resolution is required by May 2024.

Criticism of the conduct of negotiations

But there are criticisms of the way Nikolic-Fuss conducted the negotiations, “Tages-Anzeiger” writes and quotes inside. The outcome of the GAV should not have been presented so successfully, the President usually goes alone and now wants to negotiate the second GAV alone.

The President denied the allegations made against the newspaper. “Despite the resignations, we are an organization of seven people. We always make decisions together and democratically.” At that time, the best possible negotiation outcome was achieved – now improvements must be made to the contract.

Even Switzerland, the rival Switzerland in the bargaining agreement, is worried. “The chaos in Kapers is not helping us,” said a Swiss executive, who asked not to be named. (brother)
