Naked people at the art act in Kuopio

In the early hours of Saturday morning, about a thousand Finns poured into Kuopio’s streets and beaches naked. The event was an art event organized by US photographer Spencer Tunick, known for his collective photos of naked people. “Today, the land of 1000 lakes has become the land of 1000 naked people,” Tunick told AFP news agency.

The art action started at 3 am in the parks of Kuopio, where people posed nude among huge flower installations. Then it went to the sea shores of the central Finnish city, where more shots were fired. Tunick has made a name for herself around the world with her nude moves. For example, last November, thousands of Australians posed for him shirtless on Sydney’s famous Bondi Beach to raise awareness about the risk of skin cancer.
