The two wind projects “Cerignola Nord” and “Cerignola Süd” consist of 31 wind turbines and have a planned total power of 130 MW, BKW announced on Friday. From 2026, they will generate around 335 gigawatt hours of sustainable electricity per year. BKW does not specify a purchase price.

With this investment, BKW exceeded its target of operating new renewable energies with at least 1,000 megawatts of power by 2026. With the commissioning of two new wind farms, the installed power of the new renewable energy will increase to approximately 1100 MW.

The company will continue to invest in renewable energy.” This applies above all to Switzerland, where there is an extensive project pipeline.
