It is different in Migros. There, the demand for fans and air conditioning units is currently very high across Switzerland and even higher than last year, especially for air conditioning systems. Migros writes: “Our customers seem more willing to invest more money to cool off.”

Mediamarkt also refers to the record year 2022: “After the demand for fans and cooling devices has repeatedly broken new records in recent years, this year we are seeing lower sales for the first time compared to last year. However, the demand for air conditioners has increased significantly compared to last year. »

Double record at Digitec Galaxus

Digitec Galaxus shows high sales figures. In June, the company even set a new demand record for fans: It sold 6 percent more fans than in June of the previous year. Now in July the number is more or less the same. The increase in air-conditioning systems was even more striking. In June 2023, 22 percent more were sold in total compared to the same month of the previous year. This is a sales record too!

Conclusion: In 2023, air conditioning systems will be in demand. Even if powerful specimens quickly cost several thousand francs. Tired of the Swiss heat! And he invested. But fans are still selling well, too.
