As the Axa report shows, the pressure to save and change is particularly great in Italian- and French-speaking Switzerland. The biggest optimizers live in Latin Switzerland and have often not only increased the provider but also increased the exemption or changed the insurance model. First of all: you can save the most in cantons that already have the highest premiums. It is not surprising, therefore, that the canton of Geneva tops the list with an average of 637 francs in premium savings, followed by Basel-Stadt with 618 francs. Those transiting in the cantons of Vaud (582 francs), Valais (548 francs), Ticino (542 francs), Neuchâtel (530 francs), Basel-Landschaft (513 francs) and Jura (510 francs) were also able to save significantly. their premiums. The difference in premium reduction for young adults under 25 is particularly noticeable. Women save an average of CHF 639 per person and year, while men save CHF 594. Therefore, if you are still studying or studying, you should seriously consider switching health insurers.

Bern health insurance company KPT attracted the most new customers. Of all the major insurers, the most savings were achieved by switching to Atupri, which averaged 670 francs per year regardless of model and franchise.
