Passengers bitten: Nasty wood bugs paralyze airport

Bed bugs are annoying little creatures. But they never succeeded in closing an entire airport. But that’s what happened at Honolulu Airport, as reported by the Aerotelegraph.com portal. The exterminators’ first attempt to destroy the parasites was unsuccessful.

Airlines have also struggled with them in the past. In 2018, for example, Air India had to take two Boeing 777s out of service for two days for a thorough cleaning. Reason: many passengers complained of insect bites. Airlines such as Swiss and British Airways were also affected.

Heavy artillery against parasites

Door cleaning was a complete fiasco. Just a day later, Southwest Airline contacted authorities and said the faults were still there.
