The lawsuit against a former sales manager from Microsoft Switzerland began Tuesday in the Winterthur district court. The public prosecutor accuses him of commercial fraud by his employer. (icon image)

The 65-year-old Swiss denied the allegations at the beginning of Tuesday’s trial. “I worked like crazy for Microsoft and made a lot of money,” she said. He is absolutely innocent.

Until his dismissal in 2012, Microsoft was responsible for selling software licenses to public schools in Switzerland. It indirectly sold program licenses used by kindergartens, primary schools and high schools to municipalities, provinces and cantons.

The former sales manager is said to have made some of the revenue go into his own pocket through a network of companies he controls. In total, more than four million Swiss francs. The hearing will continue in the afternoon. (SDA)
