The best of Moscow Fashion Week: looks, shows, celebrities Fashion

Spring, the evening sky under the windows of Moscow City and the stage, which reflects the light of skyscrapers, turned out to be a match made in heaven. This season, City Fashion Week was held in Afimoll, which for 5 days became a center of fashion attractions and a gathering place for fashionistas from the capital and other cities.

It is worth paying tribute to the team: the location was chosen incomparably, so that the glass dome of the shopping center became part of the scenery. This added a special drama to the shows that took place just in the evening: for example, it was impossible to take your eyes off the Malina Bonita collection with golden “metallic” boots and lacquered gloves that caught the reflections from the roof. off!

The designers did not disappoint either. Yes, often on the catwalks there were not only references, but direct quotes, say, Balenciaga, Gucci, Schiaparelli and other giant fashion houses, but this is probably not a “minus”, but the real state of affairs: Russian fashion designers are not cut off from international experience and quite they use them convincingly and mix them with their own ideas. By the way, international brands also often rely on each other – that’s how the industry works.

Among them are already well-known brands of the middle segment, the lines of which are easy to find in stores, and specialized brands: the contrast between the presentations of the various shows was noticeable, and this is even good – the diversity of the industry has never hurt. In total, 844 (!) models walked the runway representing the brands SHATU, NARNY, SofyaTereshina, KUCHUGOVA, CHARUEL, VENERA and others.

The stellar participation did not disappoint either. Among the exhibitions we noticed Karina Nigay, Natalie Bardo, Gala Borzova, Svetlana Stepankovskaya, Alexey Sukharev, Irina Bezrukova, Lyanka Gryu… It was nice to meet poet Anna Egoyan, stylist Sasha Maksimova – and that’s just the tip of the iceberg with 35,000 guests .

Of course, we were mainly interested in street styles. Unlike the looks in collections that designers struggle with for more than a day, the real outfits of local fashionistas are pure fashion, cool combinations, experiments and even a nice theatricality that expresses character.

Moreover, the trends of the coming months are even clearer here than on the podium. In our case, everything is clear: skin and drama are our must, don’t forget the grid and the color block.
