28 years on trend: a leather jacket like a young Kate Moss is still the best buy of the season

Biker style sets the tone for half of the trends this year. High boots, massive soles, studs, conceptual silver jewelry (which also made it to the Venice Festival), white tops, ripped sweaters, black leather jackets – you can try them all without hesitation, because all fashionistas will be wearing them in the coming months. But if the “martens” are not so difficult to choose, then leather jackets still need to be solved.

Cropped leather jackets were once worn by everyone from Paris Hilton to Britney Spears (although the latter still walks around in them). After that, all outerwear that exposed the lower back was rejected and called anti-trend. But, as you already know, on the scale of the decade, this means nothing – and now, in the new season, designers offer to wear jackets again.

Miu Miu, Acne Studios, Peter Do and many fashion houses have brought leather jackets back to the catwalks and fashionistas are in full swing inspired by the legendary Kate Moss outfit from February 1994. Then they went out with Johnny Depp and both adored leather. Both probably have at least a dozen jackets in their collection, but Kate’s worn cropped jacket is one of the most famous. And now another of the most popular: we pay attention to crop models and “aged” skin to look cool like a young Moss.
