The other extreme is a skirt that is too tight to the floor. A monochrome maxi made of this material seems to be a strict and safe option, but in fact it costs a bet, it looks too restrained and immediately adds age. We suggest replacing it with a denim long skirt with a slit, which is the main trend of the season. It will look harmonious both with a sweatshirt and sneakers, and with a jacket and ankle boots – a universal thing!

The flared skirt was once considered a cocktail classic and often appeared on the red carpet. But recently, such models can be seen only on “mermaids” during Halloween or on ladies who “hung” in 2010. Such a maxi distorts the figure and looks ridiculous, regardless of whether the silhouette extends from the knee or from the ankle . A skirt made of suit fabric with a slit is more suitable for going out, which can be complemented with a jacket on the naked body and high-heeled pumps.

Things with a print are not so easy to style, and it is better not to try a maxi in a large cage. Such a complex print can not only optically add an extra ten years, but also an extra ten centimeters in the waist. We offer to abandon the unjustified risk and prefer a smaller cage or a vertical bar. A good alternative would also be houndstooth in neutral shades – this classic will not disappoint you!
