One of the most annoying mistakes is to “buy” a spectacular trendy little thing, check it out from your favorite fashion blogger, save up, pick up the last size in the store, try on a new thing in a minute and… At home, realize that it doesn’t look good on you at all. And it would be fine if a new raincoat or jacket for spring turned out to be a good addition to the basic wardrobe, but what if the clothes “ground” the figure and shorten the height? Failure!

And why? You just didn’t consider character traits. Yes, short stature is, on the one hand, innate grace, on the other, the presence of a frame when building a wardrobe.

So, before you go to the checkout, you definitely need to check the purchase according to a little more criteria than usual, and make sure that the clothes suit you not only in color and composition, but also do not spoil the proportions. To do this, we have determined the most common mistakes associated with the spring wardrobe: take simple advice and do not repeat these annoying mistakes!

  • Baggy jeans are a trend, let’s not argue. But for short girls, such a model can be dangerous: folds on the legs visually shorten the figure and, moreover, ground it.
  • A jacket from a man’s shoulder is also potentially unreliable: models with slightly increased shoulders will make you more majestic, but if you overdo it a little, the jacket will “nail” the figure to the ground. Petite girls must therefore choose oversize very carefully!
  • The combination of a trench coat and a dress is everything. Or rather a combination of their lengths: if the skirt is much longer than the outerwear, it creates a bell effect – and again shortens your height. Therefore, it will be much more effective to combine, say, a midi coat and a dress that does not peek out from under the hem of the outerwear. Plus a few inches up – who’s going to say no?
  • Dresses with a low waist line work in the same way: they “eat” the length of the legs and elongate the torso. Choose models with a high or medium waist and don’t forget to look at the doll model – a great idea for spring!
  • Of course, a belt over a jacket is a cool trick, but you need to be careful: if you choose an accessory that is too wide, it may not emphasize your fragility, but optically “cut” the figure in half. Therefore, always choose belts of medium width – don’t wrinkle and don’t exaggerate, that’s the key!
