Fashion experts often advise to radically revise your wardrobe after each anniversary. Not because you think something is forbidden from a certain age – no way! It’s just that your preferences, social status and figure change with age, which means you want something different from clothes. Let’s say not frivolous and daring trends, like in the 20s, but more elegant forms and materials. Not deliberately sexy styles, but patterns that “sculpt” your shapes.

The presence of a really working foundation is paramount for girls over forty! The proportions are already formed and need to be matched with perfectly fitting trousers, blouses and the like. There is simply no time for one-day finds: “cheap” materials look unkempt on a lady.

Cropped trousers are a potential problem for any figure in general. Even if you are the owner of model legs, culottes and capris visually “cut” them off. Even Heidi Klum does not associate with such styles and it would seem that nothing can spoil her.

We are talking about a very specific type of flared pants – “cowboy” models with wide legs that hug the hips tightly. At the same time, this design focuses attention on the hips (and there, as a rule, we try to hide the “ears”) and makes the image unsightly. If at 20 you put on a cropped top and pretend that you woke up today with a “wild west” mood, then after 40 it will be difficult to incorporate such a dangerous flare into your wardrobe.

“What’s wrong with elastic pants?” you ask “They are so comfortable!” Comfortable, let’s not argue, but at the same time “hostile” to other things – i.e. difficult to stylize. You’ll have to constantly zip up your waistband so the elastic isn’t visible, and unbuttoning that area can turn the outfit into a mess. Sports elements (and rubber bands belong to them) require certain clothes, and a casual wardrobe will not work.

Bodycons are skin-tight silhouettes that can look very vulgar when worn incorrectly. To avoid this, just make sure that in new pants you can easily sit, stand, walk, get into the car – in general, perform all daily activities without the risk of tearing the new thing. Otherwise, the stretched fabric will, firstly, emphasize the imperfections of the figure, and secondly, it will most likely add an ugly vulgar accent. Follow this detail – and your pictures will always be a winner.
