Who missed the sobering quotes of the fashion guru? We again turned to the experience of Alexander Vasiliev, who very aptly points out the most common mistakes – so common that even the most desperate fascinators can make them. In addition, today’s topic is quite controversial, because we are talking about logomania, which has captured the trends of recent seasons. And which, according to the fashion historian, is a sign of bad taste.
Yes, right now the logomania is not as strong as it was a year or two ago. But lately Versace has been lining the catwalk in the shape of its logo, Fendi is selling designer tights, and Dolce & Gabbana have long monogrammed much of their ready-to-wear collections. But that doesn’t mean you can dress head-to-toe in logos and be considered super stylish. On the contrary, the stylization of such “complex” things requires a non-trivial perspective and experience – otherwise, logomania quickly loses its taste.
Alexander Vasilyev confirms this idea with another scathing but accurate statement: “I believe that those sunglasses with the inscription “Chanel” or “Dolce & Gabbana” in rhinestones and golden curls that our women wear on their heads – on their heads, and not where it should be – and there is the kokoshnik that they did not inform.
If you recognize yourself in this description, it is a reason to at least reconsider the choice of accessories. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with branded details – we’re big fans of stylish luxury ourselves. However, buying fashion alone does not make an image cool, so the misconception that a big logo will magically add oomph to an outfit is wrong.
A fresh combination is born from practice and observation – and a developed taste. And in this case, logos will become one of your tools and an indicator of the highest fashion acrobatics. Dare to!
