It would seem that buying something that is out of trend today is simply unrealistic: brands update their assortment so quickly and react so quickly to changes on the catwalks that, theoretically, outdated positions on racks and shelves simply should not exist. But no, they’re still hiding among new products—and sometimes they’re just in your closet among clothes shelved from the past.
Fur is generally quite a controversial topic. Some fashionistas are supporters of completely ecological materials, while others strongly support the trend of fur coats returning to the top. But we can already say with certainty that skimpy coats with a huge fur collar, which takes up almost half of the area of the product itself, are definitely not a trend, no matter how you look at it. The same goes for down jackets – but more on that later.
We return to the topic of short jackets. Oversized, relaxed unisex silhouettes and loose patterns have become the new classics, so “cropped” outerwear looks strange against their background. By the way, cropped down jackets remain at the forefront of trends – but only because they were conceived precisely for the game of contrasts. But we definitely won’t be stocking only jackets with a flat seam that fit the silhouette and pinch the shoulders – just yet, briefs!
How much has already been said about fur vests, popularly called caterpillars! The verdict is simple: don’t wear. We will not argue, such specimens are still found on street styles from Fashion Weeks, but they require a very non-banal style. So, for an everyday look, it is not worth competing with vests from the list of anti-trends, but a closer look at quilted models will not be superfluous.
By the way, we have already talked about parks – lately they have been increasing on the streets of fashionable metropolises. But that doesn’t mean parks are making a triumphant return! Jackets with drawstrings and bulky fur hoods are subject to urgent expulsion from the wardrobe just like coats with huge fur collars. Minimalist models have the right to life, but in most cases this idea requires creativity and time. So you shouldn’t count on this model in everyday life!
