Let’s be honest: what to throw away and what to keep in 2023 – sort your wardrobe with a fashion expert

A new chapter, a new year, a new opportunity to make a fresh start in career, relationships, hobbies, everything. An ideal moment to clear the space and create conditions for transformation. Have you heard the phrase “If you want a new result, use a new means”? Your wardrobe – and there are new ways to boost your confidence, change your image and simply make getting ready in the morning easier. And today we will deal with this issue in detail – we will decide what is worth leaving in your wardrobe in 2023 and what it is time to say goodbye to.

Stylist Megan Watkins will reveal which models she wouldn’t skimp on, and which ones will serve you faithfully.

High Rise Skinny Jeans

The first thing that Megan advises to get rid of is a high-waisted skinny jeans. Yes, in some cases skinny and skinny jeans look great, but this requires thoughtful styling and a perfect shape. “Choose a mid-rise, low-rise, boyfriend style or wide leg for a comfortable fit and perfect for your winter wardrobe,” advises the expert.

“biker” shoes

While bikercore remains a strong trend, Watkins suggests replacing it with something more versatile. It’s simple: if you haven’t tamed your massive rocker boots or worn them no more than three times a season, you should replace them with boots, for example. Meghan confirms: “These great western boots are making a comeback this season. They can be combined with mini skirts and midi maxi dresses for a casual look.”

Screaming yellow gold

Yes, gold elements are still used by the most famous designers and there is nothing wrong with traditional yellow gold. But not if you’re not wearing anything else. “Try mixing up your jewelry by pitting silver against gold,” advises Megan. The same effect can be achieved by combining yellow and white gold: playing with contrasts is always spectacular!

blazer

How many great outfits have been ruined by a bad jacket! If you’re wearing a jacket made of thin material with short sleeves, we have bad news for you – it’s time to say goodbye. “If we’ve learned anything from the 2023 runways, it’s that the bigger the patterns, the better,” advises the expert. Stylish oversized jackets never hurt anyone, trust me!
