We are ready to talk endlessly about sheepskin coats: while the trendsetters on social networks walk with the next sheepskin novelty, we still take care of ourselves as “the one” model. And we will find it! If we follow the simple rules that we have compiled for you in our little cheat sheet. Do not forget to arrange a general inspection of the sheep fur right in the store – there are several extremely important nuances when choosing it!

  • The first thing you should pay attention to is the absence of stains, cuts and other visual defects. It is very important that there are no whitish streaks on the item: they indicate surface stains that will be washed away during the first cleaning.
  • The second is the absence of an unpleasant smell. When you feel it, you can safely leave the store. Ambre indicates a violation of material processing technology.
  • The third point is the heap. Try to pinch it: if you have a lot of hair in your hands, it means that their quality leaves much to be desired.
  • Fur velor is also a stumbling block. It should be uniform and very soft to the touch and leave a clear impression when touched.
  • Fifth, but no less important, is the line. Double or butt seams should be straight and flat, without gaps, wrinkles, protruding threads and hairs.
  • We also recommend that you wrinkle the product before buying: a good material will immediately regain its original shape without creases and bruises.
  • The sixth thing you should pay attention to is the color of the product. This season, classic beige sheepskin coats with white fur, solid color sheepskin coats in light shades and dark sheepskin coats with bright pile are in fashion. The first two options are more universal and can serve you for several seasons. The third is sharply trendy, you can count on it in the next season or two.
  • And finally, the seventh and last is the length. Of course, extra short sheepskin coats are beautiful and spectacular, especially in a well-coordinated image of a fashionista. But in our realities where the wind knocks you down, midi and maxi lengths are more suitable for you: warmth is the most important function of winter outerwear!
