Fashion experts have long talked about the effect of what the Western media calls spoiled choice – “spoilt choice”. There are so many sweaters, jeans, jackets and boots in stores that it is difficult for us to choose one and be sure that the purchase is really worth the money. After all, even if you want to find a specific, say, beige maxi down jacket, there could be dozens of options!

Classic options are midi and maxi length down jackets with a large seam. Firstly, they are warmer than models with small “stripes”, and secondly, they are easier to combine with jeans, skirts and dresses. You can choose a down jacket with a hidden zipper – many designers specifically remove the slider from view to make the jacket look more elegant.

Plush coats are particularly relevant in the 2022/2023 season. It doesn’t have to be wool, but that’s definitely a big plus – it’ll be warmer! Pay attention to the length: maxi coats look more impressive. You definitely can’t go wrong with a classic shade – black, brown, beige, ocher – but bright colors are super popular this winter. And yes, don’t forget to look carefully at the print: the smaller it is, the more it will dazzle the eyes – be careful!

Shoes with lots of decor have long gone out of style. Of course, unusual sandals with huge bows, such as Loewe, or Yume Yume shoes with heart-shaped heels are worth buying – this is a statement shoe, a separate suitcase. But massive buckles, chains and all kinds of shoe “piercings” rarely benefit everyday shoes and boots. That’s why we follow a simple rule when compiling the winter database: less is better!
