Umka is looking for a friend: we tell how the premiere of the new animated series took place with the support of the watch factory NIKA 17.10.2022, 21:40

On October 13, Soyuzmultpark hosted the world premiere of the animated series Umka – that very kind childhood story about a little polar bear looking at the Big Dipper and looking for a friend – with the support of the NIKA watch factory. The multimedia space in VDNKh, which was transformed into a large exhibition hall for one evening, was visited by famous artists and representatives of show business with their families. Among the guests of the premiere were Alexander Yatsenko, Denis Shvedov, Gavriil Gordeev, Nikita Tarasov, Larisa Brokhman, Irina Sashina and others.

And you can also see the new cartoon series about Umka! Nostalgia will begin on October 21 — from that day, the first episodes of the animated series will be available to subscribers of the Okko online cinema, and a week later, on October 28, the cartoon will appear on the Karusel TV channel.

The cartoon is intended for a preschool audience and is inspired by the classic films of Vladimír Popov and Vladimír Pekař – “Umka” (1969) and “Umka is looking for a friend” (1970). In 2019, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the release of the first film, Soyuzmultfilm created the final part of the trilogy called Umka on the Christmas Tree.

The short film aroused great interest among the audience, collecting over 10 million views on popular online platforms. And although the project is considered for children, we ourselves enjoyed watching the new parts of the adventures of a cute teddy bear. And yes – it still brings the most genuine smile!

The artists who took part in the premiere are also happy with Umka. Alexander Yatsenko admitted: “My children really liked all the episodes they watched. And watching “Umka” gave me the same feeling of bright New Year’s holidays that I had in my childhood. Today we saw a new cartoon, but in exactly the same style as the old one. That’s very cool!”

Nikita Tarasov adds: “Snow with a spoon is missing” is the first song my child heard. That’s why we were of course happy to come to the premiere of Umka. The daughter prepared for two days and after watching the first episode, she thought that was all and was upset. But when I found out that other parts would be shown, I felt great joy.

And after watching this cute comic, the guests of the premiere received gifts from the new exclusive collection of the Russian watch factory NIKA, a partner of the project. The creators of the jewelry watch were inspired by the image of the teddy bear Umka, as well as the magic of snow and the aurora borealis from the animated series of the same name. It turned out to be beautiful, but at the same time touching jewelry and watches with miniature bear characters – as if a children’s fairy tale was always, just look at your own baby Umka.
