How to wear slingbacks – the perfect shoe for late summer and early fall Fashion

Less formal than pumps, but still elegant and feminine, shoes with a thin heel strap have been haunting fashion since the middle of the last century. In 1957, Coco Chanel had the idea to create a pair of shoes that would elongate the silhouette and optically reduce the size of the feet. Then the legendary beige slingbacks appeared with a black “nose” on a wide, stable heel.

The iconic model has taken root in girls’ wardrobes so well that fashionistas are still hunting for it. We recommend combining this comfortable model with ivory trousers or jeans and a beige bandeau top. Like a creamy latte!

If you want to make your everyday look more feminine, just add an elegant pair of light colored slingbacks to your outfit. Sky blue jeans, a dusty pink single-breasted jacket, a light tank top and white peep-toe shoes are an outfit you’ll want to wear more than once.

White, gray and black slingbacks can also be incorporated quite easily into a summer-autumn outfit – you can do it quickly. But with models of brighter shades, everything is much more interesting!

For example, blue peep-toe boots can be paired with a dark mini skirt, a milk cropped sweater and a cropped shirt to match the boots. As accessories, we would add a small black handbag and rectangular sunglasses. Playing with layers and color accents will make the look more stylish and fresh.

Summer is coming to an end, but it’s still too early to put linen suits on the far shelf. Light trousers, shirts and a jacket made of light fabric can be a great option for periods when you don’t know what to wear (after all, it’s not hot outside, but it’s not cold yet).
