Beachwear trends don’t change as quickly as casual wear trends, so it’s easy to keep up with swimwear trends. Just like the most ardent beach anti-trends: it would seem that they are an eye-sore for more than a year – but no, outdated bikinis and monokinis go to the sea every time with their lovers who missed the change of trends.
We say a firm “No” to swimsuits with fringes. It rarely looks organic! In most cases, wet “noodles” look weird, and if the designer went too far with the length of the fringe, then you will look more like a cowboy in trouble, and not a fashionista on the beach.
Indeed, there are quite cute swimsuits with a short skirt, but this is more the exception than the norm. Sun skirts, firstly, add volume to the hips, and secondly, they can look infantile. Thirdly, it is easy not to guess the length of the skirt on a swimsuit – then it turns into either an apron or a real and very dubious skirt.
You know what we’re talking about – these are floral prints with “heavy” ornaments and lots of detail, often on a dark background. And yes, such patterns are often used to decorate towels, tablecloths and curtains, so there is little originality in them. We follow a simple rule: less is more!
Logomania is still trying to win a place among the top trends, but there is no need to talk about widespread popularity. So huge monograms of famous brands will not make your beach more stylish – that’s a fact!
The era of signs like “Baywatch” or “Barbie girl” is over (despite the popularity of the movie Barbie). If these “hello”s from the past are lost in your closet, feel free to get rid of them. And at the same time send t-shirts with the same inscriptions to the scrapyard – in extremely rare cases they do not look ridiculous!
